Soap and Glory - The Greatest Scrub of All

Friday, 5 April 2013

I find it really hard to find good exfoliators as my skin is so sensitive that a lot of them make it go red, dry and itchy no matter what I do. I've actually found a good one for once so I thought I would share it will you all!

I usually stay away from Soap and Glory because I used their thermal body scrub once and it was so painful and burned my skin, not really the results I was hoping for! I think this product was just too harsh on my sensetive skin because I've heard a lot of people say they love it and just get a warm feeling, not the burning agony which I got. So I stayed away from the brand in general but I'd heard a lot of good things about their face products and I needed a new exfoliator so I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm very impressed.

I love the packaging!
Soap and Glory say that it can be used on all skin types which I was skeptical of but it really does work on my sensitive skin. The exfoliating particles are very fine and it also contains 'smooth-boost spheres' which are larger orange particles in the mixture, you can see these in the close up photo. They pop open when you rub it into your skin helping to make you skin extra smooth. Soap and Glory say that for oily skins it can be used 2 - 4 times a week and for more sensitive types it can be used once or twice a week, but I can get away with using it 3 times a week without a problem if I need to.

The scrub contains Salicylic Acid which I really like as I used to have really bad acne and my doctor told me that this ingredient is really good to help with spots as it is anti inflamatory and is a common ingredient in many prescription acne treatments. This scrub doesn't claim to help clear your skin anywhere and is advertised more to help with oil and flakiness however since using this my skin has really cleared up even more.

I'm really impressed with this product and it is now a must have in my bathroom! I think after trying this I may have to try some of Soap and Glory's other products and see how I like them. Which Soap and Glory products are you loving?
