MAC Opulash Mascara: Review and Swatches

Friday, 2 August 2013

Hi Lovelies! Ahh it's finally the weekend and I couldn't be happier, since I've started working full time I've realized what the 'Friday Feeling' feels like and it's pretty great. If any of you read my birthday post, you'l know that I received a MAC Opulash Mascara and since I've been putting it to the test all week, I thought I'd share my thoughts.

Mascara isn't really something that I usually buy from high end brands because I think some of the drugstore options are really great so what's the point in spending my hard earned money on an expensive one? But I was really excited to try out this new mascara because I do have a bit of an addiction to MAC and my Mum clearly knows this! I've received Zoom Lash mascara by MAC before and loved it, and it's the same story for this mascara!

I was using a drugstore mascara before I received this one and I really hated it because it was so hard to apply and just went everywhere! Although the applicator for this mascara is bigger than the thin one you get with zoom lash, its still really easy to apply and get into the corner of your eyes. I don't think this is a waterproof mascara but my eyes water all the time in the air conditioning at work and I haven't had any problems with this running or leaving weird dark circles under my eyes.

The only thing to point out with this mascara is that, if you do use this mascara make sure that you have a good eye make up remover! Once its on it sets your lashes quite hard which I personally think is good because it keeps the curl in them all day and stays put all the time, but it does make it a bit trickier to remove! And sorry about the awful picture of my eyes, I'm trying to include better swatches on my blog of me actually wearing the product but It's been a long week and its fair to say that my eyes are looking a little tired!

I'd love to know which MAC products you love? I'm always on the look out for new products to try!

    1. People always seem to forget Mac mascaras while they're shopping, maybe because there isn't a massive hype around them but there definitely should be! xx

  5. I was in MAC the other day and the lady who served me said that their mascaras are really underrated.. this has 100 % confirmed that for me. I know what's on my next pay day list! x

  7. This gives your lashes great volume & they look so black. I have never tried a mac mascara - I think I will have a look next time I'm at the counter.
