MAC Lustre Eyeshadow in 'Idol Eyes' | Review & Swatches

Thursday, 10 October 2013

Hello Lovelies! I've been trying to build up my MAC eyeshadow collection for a while now as I don’t actually own that many eyeshadows and I was getting bored of wearing the same looks all the time, and the latest edition to my collection is ‘Idol Eyes’.

Idol Eyes is a lustre eyeshadow and I think the colour is so beautiful. It has a really three dimensional colour with periwinkle blue and a subtle lilac shade running through its silver base. This makes a great colour to use all over your lid on its own as it has so much depth to it or I like to use it with a darker metallic grey on the outer corners and crease to create a more smokey eye look. I tend to go for the smokey eye look with smokey black eyeliner and fluttery false lashes when I’m going out, teamed with a nude lip so all of the emphasis is on the eyes.

I love MAC eyeshadows as I think they have some really unique colours so I will definitely be adding to my collection!

  1. This is such a pretty shade, I've never heard of it before.. I've recently picked up Tempting which competed my second quad and I love it! It made me realise how much I love MAC eye shadows :) x

  2. This is so pretty! I like that it's still quite neutral, but outside of typical browns and beiges!

  4. Great review! I've had my eye on this shade for a while but I heard lustre's didn't have a very pigmented finish so I was put of buying it! It's a pretty shade I think I need it in my collection after all :)
