Christmas Treats | Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Sunday, 17 November 2013

Christmas is one of the few times when I actually go into a Lush store, which may seem surprising to most as I do love to babble on about how much I love a good bath, and Lush is THE place to go if you want a lovely fragranced soak. I often find that Lush stores give me a headache because there are so many smells going on at once which is a little bit too much for my nose to handle, also, Lush stores can be very overwhelming when you don't know what you're looking for. There are so many different varieties of bath bombs and bubble bars, etc, that it can be quite hard to choose which one is best for you.

Last year a friend from Uni bought me a medium sized bottle of Lush Snow Fairy as she knew it would be perfect for me - it smells like sweets, is pink and has a slight shimmer, so basically everything I love. Despite trying to make this last the whole year, it was gone by June and sadly as this is a special Christmas product, I couldn't repurchase it. So when I heard that it was back in stores, along with loads of other Christmas goodies, I couldn't resist picking one up. However, this year I've bought it in the large size and plan to buy another as a back up for when this runs out.

Snow Fairy smells like pear drops and candy floss and for some, can be a little bit too sweet, but I love the smell and the smell really does stay on your skin. I hate it when you find a lovely smelling shower gel but when you've dried off, the smell is gone. This also lathers up really well  and is super moisturizing so a little bit would do your whole body, which is great for me seeing as I'm rationing the stuff to make it last until next Christmas!

I also picked up a Comforter bubble bar while I was in Lush which I love so much that I couldn't wait for good lighting to photograph it and now it's almost gone! Since then I've seen a couple of other bits I want to get from Lush but I think I might wait until the new year to do a Lush haul as all of my money will be going on Christmas presents in December!

What are your favourite Lush products? I'd love to know which ones you think I need to pick up next!

  5. I bought Snow Fairy a few weeks ago and it's actually the first Lush product that I've ever purchased myself. I'm still in two minds about whether or not I like it. I think it smells a lot like bubblegum.

  10. I always go into lush stores when I go past, but I barely ever buy anything. This sounds like it would be a but too sweet for me, but I definitely should pick something similar up next time I'm in a store.
