Hello Ladies! I know I don't usually post two posts on one day but there are just so many things I want to get in before 2014 starts so today I've made an exception! I thought it would be a good idea to show you a party look for New Years Eve as the big day is just around the corner and preparations have already started. This is a golden smokey look and one which I wear quite often on nights out so I hope you like it!
As a base I used MAC Studio Sculpt in NW15 as I'm quite pale at the moment and I have some pesky post Christmas spots which need covering. For concelaer, I used Benefit Boing in 01 under my eyes as it's quite brightening and the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer to cover up my spots as I don't really want to use anything brightening on them! I kept my face quite simple as I didn't want too much going on to distract from my eyes and I'm usually one for a sparkly New Years dress so I thought it's best to let that do all of the talking. To contour my face I used Benefit Hoola and the Elf 'Gotta Glow' blusher which is a really pretty golden white shimmer and finished my face off with a light dusting of MAC Pink Swoon blusher.
For my brows I used my trusty Sleek Brow Kit which I'm beginning to like even more than my Benefit Browzings (and it's half the price - bargain!). I primed my eye lids with the UD Primer Potion in Original as I don't want my make up sliding off my face mid party. To begin, I applied Urban Decay's Half Baked from the Naked palette all over my eye lid for a golden base. To smoke up my look I used MAC Knight Divine which is a smokey blue colour, or if you have the Naked palette you could use Gunmetal as it's pretty similar. To add a bit more sparkle to my look, I used one of the MAC pressed pigments (you can use either a silver or golden colour) or if you have any kind of glitter shadow this will work, such as the Barry M Dazzle Dusts. To complete my look I used Oil Slick from the UD Ammo Palette or similarly you can just use any black eyeshadow, to line my eyes and then applied lots of black mascara.
I decided to keep my lips simple for this look as I didn't want to look too OTT and used the Cheryl lipstick from the L'Oreal Nude Privee collection which is the perfect pink/brown nude.
I hope you liked this look and have a great New Years Eve weather your going out or staying in, and have a lovely 2014!
