e.l.f SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balms | Review & Swatches

Wednesday, 1 January 2014

Hello Lovelies! Happy New Year! I hope you've started to recover from your hangovers now and are starting to feel a bit more human, toady I have another e.l.f review from my giveaway prizes. The people who chose my prizes must have known how much I love lip products because I got quite a lot! One of the types of lip products I was sent were the SPF 15 lip balms which come in this twist up thin packaging - perfect for small handbags!

Although these are marketed as lip balms, they aren't the most moisturizing lip balms around, if your looking for some serious lip recovery you're probably best picking up one of the Burts Bee's lip balms. As you can see from the swatch they are more of a sheer, creamy lipstick which doesn't dry out your lips but they definitely won't save very chapped lips. I'd say that these are perfect for summer or if your going on holiday as they also have SPF 15 and are easy top up on the go.

The packaging is very sleek and slim, making them perfect for travelling and you just twist up the product like you would a regular lipstick. The lip balms have a minty smell and are quite cooling on the lips so if your lips are sore for any reason, the cooling effect is quite nice and soothing.

Overall, I like having these in my collection and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of them as the weather gets warmer. They're great for days when I don't really want to wear much make up and for just keeping in my handbag or in the car for touch ups on the go as I don't like to take my expensive lipsticks with me in case I lose them!

  1. I haven't tried any Elf make up, but I do like the idea of a lipstick that is easy to apply. Like you said perfect for those days you don't want to fuss!
