MAC Vanilla Pigment | Review & Swatches

Thursday, 6 February 2014

Hi Ladies! Recently, I've been trawling through my twitter feed looking for Blog Sales, to see if I can find any great bargains on some high end products that I've been wanting to try. Last week I saw that an MUA was selling some of her kit, including some MAC goodies so of course I had to make a purchase. I picked up 3 eyeshadows for my palette - Twinks, Beauty Marked and Shale. I also picked up the MAC Vanilla Pigment which had barely been used for only £5, what a bargain. I've had my eye on this product for months now, but at £17 for this tiny pot I wasn't sure it was worth it, how wrong I was.

As soon as I opened up this pigment I knew I would like it, it really was love at first swatch. It's a white/cream powder with a golden shimmer running through it which makes for the prettiest highlight I've ever seen. I just dab the tiniest bit onto the tops of my cheek bones and blend in, and the result is gorgeous. In the swatch above I've used more than I normally would as a highlight but it also shows that this product can be used as an eye shadow. I've been using this pigment as a highlight, on my brow bone, on my lid and on the inner corners of my eyes to open them up and make them look brighter. You can also add this to your foundation if you want a more glowy finish or to your lipstick to create a frosty look. This really is a multi purpose product as you only need the tiniest amount, it's sure to last you years.

I absolutely adore this product - its easy to use, blend and gives such a nice finish without being too 'disco ball'. I've only recently got this product, but its already one of my all time favourites and has got me looking at other MAC pigments.

Do you own any MAC pigments? I'd love to know which shades to go for next!
