Event | Trish McEvoy Azure Collection Launch

Saturday, 8 March 2014

Hello Lovelies! I can't tell you how happy I am that it's now the weekend, this week has been crazy busy for me and I'm in desperate need of a good sleep! On Thursday night I headed over to the HIX Champagne & Caviar bar in Selfridges for the launch of the new Trish McEvoy Azure planner, which is coming out this May. I haven't written about an event in a long time despite attending a few during my time in London, this is mainly because their either hasn't been that much to write about or they haven't really wowed me. That being said, I had a brilliant time at the Trish McEvoy event, so I thought I'd share a few snaps I managed to take and let you know what I got up to!

When I arrived at the event I was really nervous, as this is the first event I've attended in a while and I knew that I wasn't going to know anyone there - eek! I was greeted by the lovely marketing team from the Trish McEvoy New York offices who offered me one of the delightful signature champagne cocktails which definitely took the edge off my nerves! The room was decorated beautifully, with fresh flowers and scented candles on all of the tables and little cake stands showcasing passion fruit cupcakes and mini scones with cream and jam, including all of the make up on show, it was pretty much every beauty bloggers dream.

The event was set out into 8 different sections, each showcasing one of the Trish McEvoy products that come in the new Azure Make Up Planner. We were taken through in small groups of 3 or 4 which was great as it gave you a chance to really learn about each product, test it out and ask the make up artists any questions you had and get a detailed answer.

When we had gone though eye primer, mascara, eyeshadow, eye brightener, foundation, eyebrows, lips and perfume we were then taken into a booth to meet Trish herself which was a pleasant surprise as I didn't know she was going to be there. This gave us all a really good opportunity to find out what the brand was all about and just have a general girly chit chat about all things make up and beauty which was lovely. We also got to hear the stories behind where each product came from and why it was developed, which was a lovely personal touch.

Overall, I had an amazing evening of sipping champagne, eating cupcakes and scones, and talking all things beauty! We were also given a very generous goodie bag, and then also allowed to pick a perfume of our choice and a brush set, which was just amazingly generous. I'll be reviewing the Azure Make Up Planner and all of the other goodies I picked up at the event over the coming days and weeks so keep an eye out as I'm already loving the products and I can tell you all will too!
