Forest Secrets Skincare | Review

Thursday, 20 March 2014

Hello Ladies! I hope your all having a great week whatever your up to! This year has really been a year of skincare for me so far, I've been really mixing up my skincare to find out what works best for me and so far, I've seen a great improvement in my skin tone, texture and general appearance. I was recently sent two products from Forest Secrets skincare which I've really been loving, so I thought I'd pop up a mini review of each of the products.

iClear Skin Tonic* - If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that a toner is a recent addition to my skincare routine. Up until recently, I never really saw the point in toners but after some research into what a toner could do to my skin, they've been making a daily appearance in my skincare routine. Recently, I've been using the iClear Skin Tonic as my 'every day' toner, as my Clarins Exfoliating Toner isn't really for every day use. The iClear Skin Tonic from Forest Secrets contains Bulgarian Rose Water and Cucumber to balance and refresh your skin without drying it and I've really found that this toner is great for removing all those little traces of make up that you didn't realise you'd left behind.

This product does smell a lot like cucumber though, which I like, but if your not a fan of cucumber then I'd stay clear and go for one of their other ranges. One thing I did find odd about this product was the packaging. Instead of a regular twist off lid like I was expecting, you have to twist the lid half way round and then squeeze the product out of the bottle. I'm not sure if I love this aspect of the product, mainly because I've never been great with things like child locks but I don't dislike it either. Overall, this is a really great everyday toner if your not looking for anything too harsh.

iRejuvenate Cream of Wonders* - The iRejunventate Cream of Wonders is a luxurious hand and body lotion made with botanical ingredients proven to promote skin elasticity. I always find that I get quite dry shoulders after showering (odd - I know!) and this cream has really been helping with that as it's very moisturizing but still light weight, as I'm not a massive fan of thick creams. However, the one thing I don't love about this product is the smell. I'm not a massive fan of floral scents and usually stay away from them, and this is definitely a floral scent. If you love a good floral perfume then you'll love this cream, but unfortunately the scent just wasn't for me, which is a shame as the cream does work brilliantly on my dry skin.
