FOTD : Pinch Of Peach

Monday, 10 March 2014

Hello Beauties! I hope you all had an amazing weekend in the sunshine! I'm so happy that Spring is finally here and were on our way to Summer, everyone seems happier and I definitely feel more energetic when the sun is shining. Before I start talking about the products I've used, please excuse two things: one, the background of my photos, we're having a lot of work done to our house at the moment hence the building site in the background and this was honestly the best light I could get despite the blazing sun this weekend, and secondly, my out of control eyebrows. I'm going to the Benefit Brow Bar next weekend to get them sorted, so I've been trying to grow them as much as possible so I can get them shaped properly.

Anyway, onto the products I used. Firstly, I primed my face using the Clarins Perfecting Touch Instant Smooth primer which I'm really impressed with. I got a little sample pot of this when I bought something else at their counter so this is the first time I've used it, and so far so good! It's managed to smooth out my skin and fill in my pores helping to blur any imperfections I have - and trust me my skin is far from perfect at the moment! For foundation, I went with the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation as this helps to keep my skin looking semi matte without making it look dull. I then finished this off with my MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder and a bit of Benefit Hoola Bronzer to brighten things up a bit. I accidentally forgot to use concealer this morning, so the effect you see if purely from the products mentioned above, silly me!

To add a bit of colour to my cheeks I used MAC Pinch O'Peach blusher and MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish to add a bit of sheen to the tops of my cheek bones. Although it doesn't look like it, I did try to tame my brows by using the Sleek Brow Kit and Benefit Gimme Brow*, then I popped a bit of Benefit High Beam underneath to lift them a little.

I decided to keep things simple with my eyes today as I wasn't really doing much and it just seemed like a waste of time to go all out. I used MAC Phloof! over my lid then just warmed things up a little by adding a bit of Urban Decay Half Baked through the crease. Then to finish off I used an angled brush to apply a black shadow as a liner and applied a couple of coats of the Maybelline Mega Plush mascara.  Then to finish the look off, I applied a YSL lipstick in number 15 which is a really pretty peachy colour, perfect for spring.

I hope you liked this FOTD, sorry it was a bit of a boring one! If you'd like to see more posts like this, then don't forget to let me know in the comments below and I'll work on my make up skills!
