Bakerdays Letterbox Cake | Review

Tuesday, 3 June 2014

Hello Beauties! I hope your all having a lovely week and are looking forward to the weekend! Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the awful photos in this post. When this cake arrived, I didn't have my DSLR with me and I had a couple of cake hungry housemates on my hands, so my iPhone had to do! I wish I could go back and take them again, but it's already in my belly oops

Anyway, I was recently contacted by a company called Bakerdays asking if I would like to try one of their letterbox cakes, and of course I said yes...I can never say no to cake! Bakerdays specialise in personalised cakes which come in a variety of sizes and flavours. The Letterbox Cake is a special cake which is thin enough to fit through your letterbox, making them perfect to send to a loved one if you can't be there on their birthday or special occasion. I recently read Ellis's post on her letterbox cake and she said that it was like an edible greetings card, and I really couldn't have put it better myself.

You can personalise the cake by either uploading your own image to printed on to the cake, or by simply choosing one of their pre-made designs and adding in your own message. You can choose from a variety of flavours such as chocolate, sponge, fruitcake, gluten and dairy free. I went for chocolate (obvs) and it really did taste yummy! The cake is quite small but we did get about two portions each between 3 of us, so you can definitely share it and it stayed fresh for about a week.

The Bakerdays Letterbox Cake retails at £14.99 and I think its a lovely idea if you live away from your friends who have birthdays coming up!

Lots of Love,

Becky x

  1. This looks so good and for a cake that fits through a letterbox and stays as a cake and not a mess is amazing.
