MAC Pigment in Deep Blue Green | Review & Swatches

mac deep blue green pigment swatch

Hello Beauties! I hope you've all had a fab weekend and are feeling refreshed for the week ahead! This week is my last week before I start handing over to my replacement and I really can't believe how quickly the year has flown by, pretty soon I'll be moving back to Bournemouth to finish my degree, then it's out into the big wide world of work! Anyway, today I have yet another MAC pigment review!

MAC pigment in Deep Blue Green is a navy/black pigment with lots of blue and green metallic sparkle which I think is just so pretty! I love to use this with other darker blue or green shades to create an interesting smokey eye for nights out, as it looks beautiful when it catches the light.

With this being a dark colour, it's also brilliant to use as an eyeliner. I take a little bit of pigment on the back of my hand, then mix it with MAC's mixology to create a liquid eyeliner, and it looks stunning just used on its own, as when your eyes catch the light you can see the hints of green and blue sparkle.

However, with all pigments, this does create a lot of fall out, and as it's a dark pigment it can take a little bit of rubbing to remove. I'd really recommend doing your eyes before your foundation if you want to use this powder in its loose form, it just makes it so much easier to wipe off!

I've recently learned that you can press MAC's loose pigments using Vodka now though, so I've ordered a palette to try this out, as I'd get so much more use out of them if they were pressed, let me know if you'd like to see a post on this!

Lots of Love,

Becky x

  2. It's sooooo pretty, but i'm not surprised that there's a lot of fall out. Super glittery shades never want to stay on the eye do they? xx
