Guest Post | Birthday Sparkle FOTD

Thursday, 31 July 2014

Hi everyone!  It’s Alyson, from Beauty Vanity and I’ll be guest blogging today while Becky is on vacay.  Since Becky and I are both celebrating our birthdays this month, I thought I’d create a look that was very birthday girl appropriate.

For my base, I used the Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation with the Bobbi Brown Corrector and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes.  I like to whack on the bronzer on a night out and here I’m using my favorite at the moment, the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (it smells sooo yummy).  I applied the bronzer all over my face, really concentrating on my cheeks to create some hollows.  Since my lips and eyes were on the bolder side, I skipped out on the blush.

For my eyes, I used the Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick in Topaz (omg does not budge!) as my base all over the lid and packed on Garnet from the LORAC PRO Palette.  I blended everything with the Taupe shade and under my brow bone, I used Cream to really define and highlight my brows.  I smudged Garnet into my lower lash line and used Champagne as my inner tear duct highlight.  I winged out my eyeliner and gently placed the Make Up For Ever Diamond Powder in #15 on the center of my lids for that extra birthday sparkle.  Next, I used my favorite falsies to complete the entire eye look.

Lastly, I used the Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in #16C since it has amazing staying power and the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia over the top.

I know this look is a bit dramatic, but a special occasion always calls for special makeup!   If any of you recreate this look, tweet me on Twitter - I’d love to see!  :)
