Guest Post | New Look Kimono OOTD

Friday, 25 July 2014

With the lovely Becky off hopefully having the time of her life in Miami, she's kindly loaned her blog to me to share my recent OOTD with you all. With the weather having hotted up recently, it's been great to be able to wear summer dresses and sandals again. However with the British weather being what it is, it's quickly turned from sun to rain and the need to have something to throw over your shoulders becomes apparent. It's because of this that kimonos have recently become my new obsession. They are perfect for the summer as they can be worn in so many different ways be it for a festival, or sophisticated evening out. They really are a summer staple.

The most recent addition to my kimono collection is this beautiful one from New Look. It's all black with darling embroidery flowers on the shoulders and hem and is finished off with one of my style favourites - a whole load of fringing. I teamed this kimono with a Topshop cami, my Jamie jeans and black wedges from New Look that are super comfortable and a staple in my wardrobe. I think this is a really fun yet elegant look and I can't wait to get more wear out of it this summer!

Have you been mad over the kimono trend?
