L'Oreal Glam Bronze Bronzer in 'Golden Bronze' | Review & Swatches

Tuesday, 8 July 2014

Hi Beauties! I hope you've all had an amazing week! A little while ago, I hit pan on my beloved Hoola Bronzer by Benefit Cosmetics. I usually find that once I hit pan on something it disappears pretty quickly, so while I was in Boots I decided to pick up this L'Oreal Bronzer as a cheaper alternative, and save my remaining Hoola for special occasions (I do this a lot with expensive makeup).

I always find it really hard to buy bronzer from the High Street, as they are often too muddy or orange for my ghostly pale skin, but when I swatched this in store it looked like it would be a good match for me, so I popped it into my basket (along with quite a few other items...oops). The L'Oreal Glam Bronze Bronzer comes in two shades, so I went for the lighter one (Golden Bronze) just to be safe...however, I didn't notice too much of a difference in shades.

The bronzer comes in the standard L'Oreal packaging which I quite like. I always see L'Oreal as the 'high end of the high street' and I think L'Oreals packaging helps to reflect that. Now I know that the packaging isn't the be all and end all of the product, but nice packaging always draws me in, and I hate flimsy plastic packaging (Rimmel Stay Matte I'm looking at you!).

The L'Oreal Glam Bronzer in Golden Bronze is a light, cool toned bronzer that is perfect for dusting all over for a sun kissed look, or for contouring as the olive undertone will create a more natural shadow, rather than an orange streak across your cheek (eek!). It's also quite a dense powder meaning that it has minimum fall out. There's nothing worse than specks of orange/brown all over your cream carpets every morning! However, I really would recommend only using a little bit of this bronzer, as it's quite highly pigmented so a little will go a long way.

Overall, I really like this bronzer and it's an excellent high street buy as it'll only set you back a mere £7.99, and as I said, a little goes a long way so it's bound to last you months. Have you tried anything from L'Oreal that you would recommend?

Lots of Love,

Becky x

  1. This looks a really nice shade. I love l'oreals lip stains think Im a sucker for the packaging too as love the gold packaging as they remind me of YSL

  2. I have been obsessed with L'oreal at the moment. I recently bought this bronzer, the lip stain in "nude ballet" (which Kim Kardashian apparently wore on her wedding day) and the Nude Magique BB Powder (which is amazing). Such good quality for the price, all the cheaper brands seem to be upping their game recently! x

  3. This is a lovely shade bronzer. It isn't too orange or dark. Might have to pick it up for myself. My Coralista blush has just hit pan too- it is a sad day! x

  4. This sounds like a perfect high street bronzer! I always use hoola because its perfect for contouring and doesn't have any shimmer, but I really will have to check out this high street option! Thanks:)

  5. I am always on the hunt for a brand new bronzer, however I find because I have such fair skin that they are always very orange or orange toned on my skin and I'm not a fan of that look!

  6. I've heard great things about this bronzer, however I think without a tan it'll be too orange, but with a tan it would look gorge!

  7. I've only ever swatched this but it feels amazing however I'm not 100% sure if it'll show up on my skin tone, hmm!

  8. I get a little excited when I find a really good drugstore bronzer. Thanks for the review!
