Nicky Clarke Mayfair Multi Styler | Review

Wednesday, 9 July 2014

Hello Beauties! I hope you're all having a great week, whatever you've been up to! This week I've been finishing decorating my room and I've already started packing for America, despite not flying until the 18th (excited, much?!). Anyway, today I thought I'd let you all know about a fab hair tool that I've been using lately - the Mayfair Multi Styler* from Nicky Clarke.

I'll be the first to put my hands up and say that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to hair tools. I have extremely curly/frizzy hair which I like to straighten and the only straighteners I've used (which I also use to curl my hair) are GHD's, I've tried others but I haven't been able to achieve the same effect, which resulted in me only ever wanting to use GHDs. However, I was recently sent these to test out, and I've been pleasantly surprised.

The Nicky Clarke Mayfair Multistyler comes with three detachable heads - a thin pointed wand which is great for creating ringlet curls, a medium sized wand which will give you your standard curls, and a large barrel wand for creating more wavy curls. This is probably me just living in a bubble, but I've never come across a styler which you can change like this, and I think it's a great idea as you are basically getting three curling wands for the price of one - bargain! The styler was also created using ceramic and tourmaline technology so you can create smooth, shiny curls, without damaging your hair. Needless to say, I'd still use heat protection on my hair.

In the pictures above, I've used the large barrel wand to create a kind of messy wavy/curly look which you can scrunch and mess up a bit to create a more beachy texture. I've also used the thin wand when I've left my hair naturally curly, as it's great for curling the frizzy bits!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this curling wand, it's great for creating loads of different looks and I also love that it doesn't take up too much room in my draws, as I'm struggling a bit with storage at the moment! It also has a really pretty design. It's sleek and black, however the handle is slightly glittery and grey, which I think looks really pretty and classic. This is also on sale at Debenhams at the moment for £30, so if you wanted to pick one up, I'd recommend doing it now as it's usually sold at £60.

Have you tried any Nicky Clarke hair tools?

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

  5. Nicky Clarke tongs are the best ones I've ever owned - so under rated. I literally used my into the ground and was absolutely devastated to find they had been discontinued. I've since tried Tony and Guy, Tres Semme and others and nothing has been as good. I will be heading straight out to get these!! x
