Lush Christmas 2014 | So White Showergel

Monday, 20 October 2014

Hello Beauties! It seems like it's been ages since I actually sat down to write a blog post. Before I went back to Uni I sorted out my blog and scheduled all of my posts up until Saturday as I knew I would be busy with Freshers and getting back into the swing of things. I thought that by this point I would have gotten myself into a routine and would be able to keep up with posting every other day (and keep the quality the same) but realistically, I just don't think that is going to happen. Everyone tells you how difficult your final year of University is, but I don't think that anyone can really prepare you for the reality of being a fourth year student. Finding time during the day to take photos is now quite difficult for me and actually finding the time to sit down and write up the post is even worse (without feeling guilty because I really should be working) so please bear with me while I try and get myself into a routine and for the time being, my posts will be a little all over the place!

Anyway, ramble over. Recently, I've been a bit down about going back to Uni as it was really something I didn't want to do, so I decided to treat myself to a few little bits from the Lush Christmas Range to cheer myself up. The first thing I picked up was the So White shower gel, which is what I thought I would tell you all about today. The So White shower gel has the same scent as the So White bath bomb which they usually release around this time of year, except it's in shower gel form, obvs. So White is based on the famous Disney film, Snow White which I just think is so cute and it definitely influenced my decision to pop this little wonder in my basket. Lush say that So White is 'a crisp apple shower gel to leave you feeling the fairest of them all. This creamy, shimmering wash is made with cleansing fresh apple and cyder vinegar as well as soothing rose water to leave you feeling fresh and soft. So White also contains organic rose absolute and bergamot essential oil to help clear the mind and peace you feeling as pure as driven snow'.

I just think that description is so cute, especially with the 'fairest of them all' reference (I'm a sucker for anything Disney) and it's also spot on. This shower gel has a refreshing apple scent which is perfect to perk you up first thing in the morning, but is also lovely and relaxing as a bedtime treat. It also contains little flecks of shimmer running throughout the shower gel which makes it look so pretty and snowy. This glitter does wash off in the shower though, so no need to worry about stepping out of the shower looking a bit like a 70s disco ball. I would say that the scent of this isn't as strong as the bath bomb though, which I kind of like as I don't find this to be overpowering.

I only bought the littlest bottle of this as a little treat to myself, and it cost me £4.50 which I do think is pretty steep for only 100ml so it would have definitely worked out as more value for money if I'd have bought the bigger £10 bottle, but as I still have loads of Snow Fairy left after I went a little cray cray and bulk bought last year, I didn't want to do the same with this one as I would never reach the end of my stash! I really like Lush at this time of year and they have some brilliant products in stock at the moment. There's nothing better than coming home from Uni on a cold wintery day and getting straight in the bath, so I'd definitely recommend picking up a little treat for yourself as the nights draw in!

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

  17. I bought the bath bomb version of this but was disappointed as the gorgeous apple smell disappeared once I dropped it in the bath. I didn't realise there was a shower gel version but after a few people recommend I try this instead I might have to do just that. I was a little unsure about the glitter but if it washes off then that's perfect x
