Best of 2014 - Skincare

Tuesday, 6 January 2015

Hello Beauties and welcome to the last instalment of my 'Best of Make Up 2014' mini series. I know this one isn't technically make up related, but skincare sets the base for your make up, so I thought it deserved a spot in the series. 2014 wasn't a year of great discoveries for me - skincare wise. However, I did manage to find a couple of stand out products which I'd like to share with you all.

Although I have oily skin, it's also dehydrated which can be a bit of a pain as I rarely find products which hydrate my skin without worsening my oil problem, but this wonder mask from Glam Glow is amazing. It really hydrates my skin and makes it so soft, but without making my skin even oiler. I don't use this all that often, but it's nice to treat my skin with it every other week.

Another face mask which I've discovered this year is the REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask. This stuff is a god send if you have problem skin. My skin has excess oil, huge pores and a little leftover acne from my teenage years and this mask is guaranteed to sort it all of these problems out when my skin gets really bad. I like to use this once a week during my Sunday pamper to ensure that my skin stays clear, smooth and fresh looking.

This year I've also found my holy grail cleanser. I've been trying to keep my skincare simple (no pun intended) as I find that an overload of products sends my skin into meltdown and this Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser from Simple is the best product I've found for avoiding this. It doesn't come with any exaggerated promises of perfect skin, it just gently cleanses leaving your skin fresh, clean and hydrated. I like that it's not a fussy product, but it gets the job done.

Lots of Love,

Becky x x
