Best of Make Up 2014 | Palettes

Sunday, 4 January 2015

Hello Beauties! My second to last instalment of the 'Best of Makeup 2014' is palettes, my biggest make up love. My never-ending beauty wish list is pretty much 90% palettes, I don't know what it is about them but I need them all

One of my favourite palettes this year is a fairly new addition to the beauty world, its the Tarte Pin Up Girl Blusher Palette. Unfortunately, this was/is limited edition so I really hate to mention it, however Tarte tend to release one of these on a yearly basis so maybe you'll be able to grab one this year! If you've read my other entries in this little mini series then you'll already know I have a lot of love for Tarte blushers, they're just so buttery and long lasting, so its really handy to have all of these shades in this cute little palette.

Another limited edition palette (sorry - I thought I'd get these two out of the way first!) is the Too Faced Beauty Wishes & Sweet Kisses palette also part of the Holiday 2014 collection. Too Faced is one of those brands that can do no wrong in my eyes. From their formulas to their colours, everything I've tried from them has been perfect and this palette is no exception. I love how it contains eye, face and lip products - perfect for travelling and the packaging is just to die for!

One palette which took me by surprise this year is the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes palette. I don't usually go for Benefit eyeshadows, but this little palette drew me in - its the perfect everyday neutral eye and contains everything you need to contour your eyes and enlarge them. If you like to keep your make up simple and are looking for the perfect everyday palette - you need to take a look at this one.

Lastly, I couldn't stop myself including a Naked palette in here. I tried to stay away from the Naked palettes as I feel like they've been done to death and you probably know everything you need to know about them, however, I've really fallen for the rose gold tones in the Naked 3 so thought it deserved a mention.

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

    1. If you're a complete newbie and haven't quite got to grips with creating looks and blending out etc then I would go for the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes as it's perfect for everyday use and you can't really go wrong with it as it comes with instruction as to where the shadows should go. However you can only really create one look with it so if your looking for something that will allow you to create loads of different looks then I would go for the Naked 3. Hope this helps! xx
