Benefit Boxed Blushers | My Collection

Thursday, 19 February 2015

Hello Beauties! While sorting through my makeup stash the other day, I realised that I don't think I've ever talked about my Benefit Boxed Blushes over here on Lipgloss & Lashes, or certainly not a recent one. So I thought I'd put together a little round up of my collection for you. I don't have a huge collection, as I do only own four, and there are tonnes more on my list, but I thought it might be nice to share them anyway.

First up I have Hoola, which is technically a bronzer, not a blush, but it comes from the same 'collection' if you like so I thought I'd include it. As you can tell, Hoola has received a lot of love from me, a long with the others I own, and rightly so. Hoola is a matte bronzer which is perfect for contouring as it manages to bronze up your face without making it look streaky, muddy or orange. I do have to treat lightly with this one though as it is quite pigmented and I am seriously pale, but a light dusting of this is perfect.

One of my first ever blushers was Thrrrob, and I still love it today. Benefit was the first brand I ever bought make up from (You Rebel was a teenage favourite of mine!) and I think Thrrrob was one of the second make up purchases I ever made, but unfortunately this blusher has been discontinued I think as I can never find it at the counters any more, so I'm clinging onto the last little scraps that I have left of this one. Thrrrob is a beautiful pink blusher designed to give you a sexy 'flush'. It's not too pigmented, although it can be built up, so it's perfect for pale people like me who seem to be unable to go lightly on the blusher (I always leave the house looking like a clown)! The closest to this one I'd say is Hervana, which I also highly recommend.

If I had to pick one Benefit Boxed Blusher, I think it would have to be Hervana, with Rockateur coming a close second, the pink and peach tones of this blend together to create a heavenly pink colour, which is perfect for everyday wear and adds just the right amount of colour to your cheeks. I know a lot of people like to use the colours in this separately on different occasions, but personally I love to blend them all together to create the perfect pinky peach colour.

Lastly, the newest addition to my collection is Rockateur, a beautiful rose gold blush. I bought Rockateur from Cohorted for the bargain price of £11 and I couldn't be happier with it. It adds a subtle rose gold sheen to your cheeks, and is no where near as shiny as it first appears, I'd say it was just the right amount of 'glow'. This would look gorgeous on all skin tones, but I think it is particularly pretty on paler girls like me.

Overall, I'd really recommend the Benefit Boxed Blushers, they aren't the most pigmented blushers around, but I find that quite useful for me as I seem to be unable to use a light hand when it comes to blusher. The others on my list are Dallas which I may have to purchase this summer when I get a bit of a fake tan, Georgia which I hear they are discontinuing (somebody please tell me this isn't true?!) and Coralista, also another one I may have to purchase for the summer!

What are your favourite blushers?

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

  7. I've surprisingly never tried any of Benefit's boxed blushes, do you find it hard to get your brush in there to pick up product? If I were to purchase one, it would probably be Rockateur!

    1. I don't find it a problem when there's a lot of product in there, but when they get as empty as my Thrrrob is it does get a little difficult! X

    1. Ah Dallas is on my list but I wasn't sure if it would be too dark for my pale skin! I think I may pick it up for the summer though when I can get away with amping up the fake tan a bit haha xx
