Benefit Cosmetics 'Puff Off!' | Review

Monday, 2 February 2015

Hello Beauties! I hope you're all well? I was recently sent a surprise parcel from Benefit Cosmetics which contained their new 'Puff Off!' eye gel and have been waiting to tell you all about it for a while now. The reason I held off on reviewing this straight away was because it's supposedly part skincare, part makeup so I wanted to wait a few weeks to see how the skincare element of this product performed, and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed!

Firstly, let's talk about the super cute packaging. Benefit are known for their pretty packaging and Puff Off! is no different, they've even managed to make skincare look sweet. The gel comes in a squeeze tube with a little metal applicator shaped like an iron which I think is just too cute, and also practical too. At first the iron applicator led me to think that this product would be a bit of a gimmick, however the applicator is really cooling and the pointed tip makes it really easy to get right into the corners of your eyes.

If you're wondering what this skincare come make up product is actually used for, it's a cooling under-eye gel designed to iron out any under-eye bags or 'puffies' as Benefit puts it, and also tackle the appearance of fine lines. Although I'd say that Puff Off! is more of a cream product than a gel, as it has a much thicker consistency than what I've come to expect from gel products, but if you're worried about it being too heavy for you there really is no need. I often find that heavy eye creams cause me to get little white bumps in my under-eye area but there has been no signs of this with the Benefit Puff Off.

But did it work? I have to say that I'm really impressed with this product. In fact, I think this is one of the best Benefit releases recently. I commute into Uni which means lots of early mornings, and that combined with the recent exam stress I've been suffering has left my eyes anything but perky, but thankfully Puff Off managed to make them look and feel wide awake in the early mornings. I put this on after my moisturiser and before my make up (although it can be applied after make up) and it instantly brightens the area and means I need less concealer to cover up the awful under-eye baggage I've got going on.

If you suffer from tired feeling eyes, dark circles or puffy eyes, then I'd definitely recommend checking this out. I think it will become a staple in my makeup bag, as I already can't go a morning without it!

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

    1. Hey lovely, thank you! I'm not sure what you mean by blog background? The background on my design was just a colour that I uploaded and the background on my photos is just a floor tile from B&Q :) xx
