Make Up Revolution Highlighting Palette | Review & Swatch

Sunday, 15 February 2015

Hello Beauties! It seems, as usual, I'm late to the party with the whole Make Up Revolution thing as I've never tried any of their products! Make Up Revolution hit the blogging world by storm last year with their inexpensive high end dupes, but as they aren't sold anywhere near where I live I held off purchasing any of their products because you can never be sure of colours and quality when purchasing online. However, I was recently contacted by Make Up Revolution asking if I would like to try out some of their new products - more on that later!

One of those new products is the highlighting palette, which comes in two shades, the highlighting palette and the radiant lights palette (Which I hear is a great dupe for that Hourglass palette). I was sent the pink toned tone to test out and I have to say, I'm seriously impressed with the quality for the price. The palette comes with three of Make Up Revolutions most popular Vivid Baked Highlighters - a cream highlight, a pinky champagne highlight and a more pink toned highlight which could be used as a highlighting blusher if you've got pale skin like me.

Each go the highlighters are quite powdery, and they aren't as soft as the MAC highlighters I own, however when you take the fact that the price of three highlighters from Make Up Revolution are still cheaper than 1 highlighter from MAC into consideration, it's hardly a deal breaker. Despite being quite powdery they do blend into the skin well to create that flawless glow that so many of us long for.

The palette retails for £8, which makes each highlighter worth £2.60 which is a complete bargain! This palette can be purchased from the Make Up Revolution website here, and also from selected Superdrug stores across the UK.
