Cliphair Hair Extensions | Review

Thursday, 9 April 2015

Hello Beauties! I hope you're all well? If you follow me on social media or you've been reading this blog over the past couple of months, then you'll know that in February I cut a lot of my hair off and went for the 'lob'. Predictably, this resulted in me crying that I looked like a boy before eventually coming round to the idea of shorter hair...but in those two weeks where I was absolutely distraught over the state of my hair, my hair extensions came in handy to say the least. Again, if you've been reading this blog for a while then you'll know that I'm a big fan of the Dirty Looks Hair Extensions, but recently I've also been trying out some from Cliphair.

The Cliphair Double Wefted Full Head Hair Extensions are made from 100% Human Remy Hair, which is the best kind of extension hair, not only is it cuticle correct but it also has a natural shine to the hair, which helps it to blend in with your natural hair. There are 8 pieces in the set with three clips attached, two 4 inch wide wefts with two clips per weft and 4 two inch wide weds with 1 clip attached, meaning that theres more than enough to do a whole head, in fact when I clipped them in I found that I had extra pieces left over which I didn't really need to use. The wefts also get ever so slightly thinner towards the bottom too, which I think helps them to blend into your natural hair and avoids that 'fake' look that you can get with some extensions.

The clips on these extensions are also super strong. They come across as a little stiff at first and you do have to press them down quite hard to clip them into place, but once they're in they aren't moving anywhere, so you can rest assured that you won't be leaving trails of hair everywhere! The only problem I had with these extensions was that they were the wrong colour match for my hair. I have medium brown hair, which has some lighter bits running through it, meaning that my hair is almost impossible to match (although I did manage this perfectly with Dirty Looks). I opted for the Medium Brown shade in these and I was surprised to see that they were quite red toned when they turned up, making the extensions really noticeable when clipped into place. As these are 100% human hair they can be died which is what I will have to do, although as I don't die my hair, matching a die up is proving to be quite difficult!

Overall, I do really like these extensions, but for me, I still think I prefer the Dirty Looks HK hair extensions, which are also slightly cheaper.

Lots of Love,

Becky x x

  1. These extensions sound lovely Becky and I'm looking at some since I miss having longer hair too.
