Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Nude Beach Review

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

Hello Beauties! I hope you're all well and have been enjoying the glorious weather we've been having...I know I have! One thing I love about the beauty community at the moment is that there's so much choice in both high end and high street products, however I think that this sometimes means that amazing products can go unheard of. So today I wanted to talk to you about a product which I've loved for years but never really gets it's time in the spotlight on blogs and youtube, etc. Bare Minerals isn't a brand I've tried much from, as honestly, mineral powder foundation just doesn't seem like it would be for me...however their eyeshadows, now thats something I can get on board with.

I have a couple of the Bare Minerals eyeshadows in my collection, however the real stand out of the lot is Nude Beach. Nude Beach is part of the Glimmer eyeshadow range, meaning that it's a gorgeous sparkling, light-reflecting shade, perfect for adding a bit of glamour to your eye makeup. I'm a big fan of shimmery eyeshadows so it's no surprise that I love this one, but I think Nude Beach really does stand out against the rest of my shimmery eyeshadows due to the formula and the shade.

Bare Minerals describe their Glimmer eyeshadows as the richest shimmer the earth can create, and I'd have to agree....MAC Pigments have nothing on these shadows. The formula is rich and soft making it an absolute dream to blend out and they're also really pigmented. The swatch above was done on my bare arm with no primer and was only two light layers, so you can really see just how pigmented these shadows are, they're seriously impressive. The Glimmer eyeshadows can dry or wet if you're looking for a more intense look, making them really versatile and a valuable addition to your makeup collection. If you're not a fan of loose shadows due to the fallout they create, then I'd definitely recommend using this shadow wet or doing your eye makeup before your foundation, etc as these can kick off a fair bit of fall out.

Apart from the seriously amazing formula, the shade of this eyeshadow is truly stunning. Nude Beach is a gorgeous champagne toned nude however I think there's just something different about this shadow and the swatch just doesn't do it justice. Nude Beach adds a real beachy glow to your eye makeup and is stunning either worn alone (which is what I tend to do) or combined with other shadows to create a more smokey look. I also found that this shadow lasted really well on my lids and didn't crease like I expected it to on my fairly oily lids.

Overall, I love this eyeshadow and I don't think I'll ever be able to do it justice in my descriptions so it's definitely one to go see for yourself. I actually managed to find the glimmer eyeshadows on sale at Look Fantastic here and I honestly can't recommend these enough.

What are your favourite Bare Minerals products?

Lots of Love,

Becky xx
