Hello Beauties! I hope you're well and enjoyed your Haloween weekend! I spent Halloween having a scary movie night with my housemates and I think it's safe to say, I've traumatised myself for life - I'm such a wimp! Now that I'm back to full time work, I spend most of my months planning on how I'm going to treat myself when pay day rolls around...because everyone deserves a treat, right? This month I decided to treat myself to something I've wanted for years...a YSL Lipstick.
Firstly, how can I ignore the packaging? One of the main reasons I love YSL beauty products is because of their packaging, it's luxuriously girly and completely justifies paying a little more in my opinion. Despite the packaging being the prettiest thing to ever grace this earth, it's also very functional, and I find the fact that YSL lipsticks show the actual shade on the outside extremely useful, especially first thing in the morning when you're scrambling around trying to get your face done quickly!
The reason I wanted this particular lipstick so badly is due to a combination of both the shade and the exquisite formula. Nude Beige 01 is a gorgeous light pinky nude shade, perfect for everyday wear, much like Creme Cup from MAC but a little more wearable in my opinion - as sometimes Creme Cup can be a little too light for me. When I was selecting my shade it was a toss up between Nude Beige and Lingerie Pink, but I found this one to be more wearable as Lingerie Pink came across a little too light and blue-toned for my fair complexion. I'm confident that Nude Beige was the perfect shade selection for my skin tone and I've been wearing it non stop since I brought it home!
The formula is also to die for. The formula is extremely creamy and moisturising making it perfect for this time of year, and oh so pigmented. One light sweep of this over my lips and the colour is completely opaque. The colour is also surprisingly long lasting, although the initial shine and gloss of the lipstick wares off as soon as I've eaten or drank anything, it slightly stains my lips, leaving them with a light pink wash of colour, which is just what I want as I never have time to constantly top up my lipstick!
Overall, I am completely smitten with this lipstick and see this being the start of a serious addiction - I already have my eye on number 8!
What do you think of YSL lipsticks?
Lots of Love,
Becky xo

Ah, the packaging is gorgeous as always but the lipstick shade will be too nude for me. A nice choice for you though!
