MAC Flamingo Park Collection | 'What I Fancy' Blusher Review

Saturday, 26 March 2016

Hello Beauties! MAC Flamingo is one of my favourite lipstick shades for the spring/summer-time, so when I saw that MAC had released it's Flamingo Park collection, I just knew that I wouldn't be able to resist picking up at least one item. As with all MAC collections, all of the lipsticks at my local counter had sold out by the time I'd made my way down, so I decided that a blush would be the best option, as I can never resist a blusher...especially a MAC one.

The MAC Flamingo Park collection contained two blushers - What I Fancy and Spring Flock. I decided to go for What I Fancy in the end as it seemed slightly less vibrant than Spring Flock. What I fancy is described as a 'soft bright apricot', which I would have to say is pretty accurate. It's a light to medium pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. As with all MAC blushers, the texture was soft, silky and smooth and it blended excellently. I was slightly worried that this would be too bright for me at first, however What I Fancy sheers out really nicely for a more wearable every day look.

What I Fancy also lasted really well on my skin, and was still visible after 10 hours of wear. However, if you find that it sheers out as the day goes on, you can easily build up the colour without it looking too much.

Overall, I really like this blush and it's been one I've found myself reaching for a lot recently. In fact, it's the only blusher I brought along with me this Easter while I'm away from my whole makeup collection. I'm pretty sure this is now sold out online, but I've definitely seen it at a few counters so there's still hope. If you can't find it at your local coutner though, I'd really recommend 'Pinch O' Peach', its a gorgeous peachy pink shade which is fairly similar to  What I Fancy, maybe just slightly more peach toned. I'm always looking to grow my MAC blush collection even further though, so if you have any recommendations for pink or peach shades, please leave them in the comments below!

Lots of Love,

Becky xo
