Make Up Revolution Rose Gold Lipsticks

Thursday, 24 March 2016

Hello Beauties! You'll have to excuse the photos in todays post, I'm currently at my parent's house and without my regular photography set up, but I just had to share these rose gold beauties with you. If you know me personally then you'll know I'm obsessed with anything rose gold, and of course this extends to my makeup collection, so when Make Up Revolution released a rose gold collection of lipsticks, I knew they had to be mine.

Similar to their regular lipsticks, these beauties are comfortable to wear, creamy and glide on with ease. The shades are extremely opaque and offer high coverage, build-able colour which to most I think would be an excellent thing, however I'm definitely more into my sheer, build able lip colours so I definitely think I'll be saving these for a night out with my girls.

The Rose Gold collection contains five shades - Chauffeur, a beautiful Kylie Jenner-esque nude; Girls Best Friend, a perfect dupe for MAC's Candy Yum Yum; Red Carpet, a classic rose toned red; Diamond Life, a vampy plum and Private Members Club, which is surprisingly similar to the Ariana Grande for MAC shade.

As the collection name would suggest, these shades all come packaged in beautiful rose gold tubes, perfect for any makeup collector like myself. Previously, rose gold packaging was reserved for the more luxurious, higher end brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, so I really like that Makeup Revolution are making the trend accessible to anyone. The shades also come with the standard clear plastic base, showing the shade in it's true colour, which is a quality I really like. There's nothing worse than knowing you want one specific shade and then having to open up 15 different lipsticks to find it (although that probably says more about my habit of lipstick hoarding than it does about packaging!).

Priced at £3, these are slightly more expensive than some of the other Makeup Revolution lipsticks on offer, but it'll hardly break the bank. The whole Rose Gold collection is available to purchase online here

Lots of Love,

Becky xo
