New In: Lancôme Juicy Shakers #BanTheBoring

Sunday, 20 March 2016

Back when the Lancôme Juicy Tubes first launched, I was only 12, but I still remember the hype surrounding them and just how much I wanted to get my hands on one (or five) of them. Skip forward 10 years and Lancôme are shaking things up again, literally, with the launch of their Juicy Shakers which, along with the strapline #BanTheBoring, aim to allow us to experiment and have fun with our lip colour once again.

The Lancôme Juicy Shakers launched just this week and spoiler alert, I'm seriously in love. The lipgloss-tint hybrids contain a bi-phased formula that combines nourishing lip oils such as sweet almond oil, omega 3 and cranberry oil, with colour pigment for a natural looking, glossy finish. The two parts to the formula do settle when left, so you will need to shake the bottle before application, hence the name Juicy Shakers. I think this idea is so cute and along with the mini cocktail shaker inspired bottles, really helps to add to the playfulness of the product.

Unlike regular lip glosses and tints, the Juicy Shakers have an unusual foam applicator, which is incredibly soft and moulds to the shape of your lips perfectly. The bottles contain little holes, which when shaken, transport the product from the bottle straight onto the foam applicator to ensure that you get just the right amount of product.

The Lancôme Juicy Shakers are available in thirteen shades ranging from nudes, corals, pinks, reds and berries so there's something for everyone in there. As I mentioned the foam applicator absorbs just the right amount of product to give your lips a hint of pigment and a whole lot of shine. Just like the name suggests, these lip tints really do make your lips look juicy and plump. The formula is non-drying and non-sticky making them easy to wear all day long, without leaving your lips feeling tight or dry.

The two shades that I've been testing out recently are Apri-Cute, with is a gorgeous orange toned peach, and Freedom of Peach which is applies as a nude peachy colour. Both are incredibly stunning and easy to wear, making these some of my go-to lip choices for Spring. Each of the shades is also named after it's scent too which I think is just so fun, and they smell amazing...seriously, I could sit and sniff these all day.

Overall, I'm completely in love with the Lancôme Juicy Shakers and already have a couple more of the pink shades on my shopping list! I think it's so lovely and refreshing to see a somewhat serious brand release something so fun and uplifting.

If you're looking for something easy to wear for the upcoming spring-summer months, or just feel like treating yourself, I'd highly recommend these...they're the best thing I've tried in months. The whole range is available for £18 each at Selfridges, which I don't think is a ridiculously high price either for the quality of the product.

Lots of Love,

Becky xo
